Our vision is for Puerto Rico to become a center of classical piano excellence.
The mission of the Puerto Rico International Piano Festival (Puerto Piano & Strings) is to give talented piano students of Puerto Rico, access to and opportunities at a world-class music festival. In coordination with the Department of Piano at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, The Steinway Society of Puerto Rico, and local private teachers, we have been able to connect with those students who would benefit most from attending our festival. The generosity of our supporters has made it possible for Puerto Piano to create scholarships for students to attend a low or no cost, and to present a free concert series at the Conservatory of Music. We hope that in the future years, we will also be able to offer merit based scholarships to international students.
